Founded by Marv Samuel, Chicago Baseball Cancer Charities is a 501(c)(3) nonprofit using sports to give back by helping fund cancer research and patient care programs at Chicago-area hospitals, and supporting services to empower kids with cancer.
Who We Are:
Chicago Baseball Cancer Charities is a volunteer team made up of retired professional athletes, members of the Chicago sports media, and the corporate community, working together to provide ways for people to raise money for a worthy cause.
What We’ve Done:
Over the last 48 years, Chicago Baseball Cancer Charities events like the Annual All-Star Invitational Golf Outing have raised more than $16 million for cancer patient care, education, and research programs at Northwestern Memorial Hospital and Ann & Robert H. Lurie Children’s Hospital of Chicago. CBCC activities also support Children’s Oncology Services, a program that provides educational, social, and physical development services to children with cancer, regardless of their ability to pay.
